Thank you for your interest in our school! We understand choosing the right school for your child is an important decision. We welcome the opportunity to meet with you and your family in person to gain an understanding of your child’s needs and interests, and to share our school’s true experience.
The admission process at Young Leaders Academy K-8 is more than interviews and forms. Together, we will assess if our mission and values align to ensure Young Leaders Academy K-8 is the right fit for your family.
We welcome applications for kindergarten through grade eight; however, most students enter Young Leaders Academy in kindergarten, grade one, or grade six.
The information below will help guide you through the application and admissions process. Admission is based on an evaluation of academic records, a personal interview with the student, and the availability of class space. Please submit all the pertinent information requested below within 7-10 business days of applying. Any omissions of records or information essential to a thorough admission evaluation may result in denial of admission. Required Documents for Prospective Students:
- Completed application and fee of $125
- Photocopy of applicant’s passport, birth certificate, and/or other official identification
- Transcripts for the last two years of school (including the current school year) in English or with a certified English translation provided
- Educational or psychological evaluations, IEP (if applicable) or any other information pertinent to the applicant’s academic history or educational needs
- Transcript Release Authorization Form (to be submitted by the parent/legal guardian and to be completed by the current school). Transcripts must be submitted in a sealed official transcript envelope or sent via postal service by school
- Letters of recommendation from former teachers/schools
- Snap or Medicaid letter
- Form Florida Department of Health Physical Exam Form DH 3040
- Form Florida Department of Health Certificate of Immunization DH680.
- Parent/Guardian Florida ID or Driver License
- Parent/Guardian Last four paystubs

How to Apply
- Complete the Young Leaders Academy K-8 Enrollment Application and submit a one-time, non-refundable application fee of $125.
- Grades K-8, please submit the most current Report Card, proof of birth (ie passport or birth certificate), and Immunization records.
